An Illustrated Seasonal Calendar from Willamette Farm & Food Coalition by Natalie Hinahara
Our calendar begins in March because that is when the Willamette Valley truly begins to wake back up. The first wild greens emerge from the soil, orchards begin to bloom, farmers start sowing seeds, and longer days slowly return to the land. In many ways, spring feels like the true beginning of the growing year here in Oregon — a season rooted in renewal, abundance, and possibility. This calendar follows the rhythms of our regional food system, celebrating what is growing, ripening, flowering, and being gathered across farms, gardens, orchards, forests, and fields throughout the seasons.
There’s no wrong time to begin. Each month is intentionally left open so you can fill in your own dates and use the calendar on your schedule.
This is a fundraiser. When you purchase a calendar, you're investing in community care. Profits from sales directly support WFFC's Food Equity Fund, helping expand access to locally grown food through mutual aid and food sovereignty initiatives.
